HINDOO, the heavy favorite, passed LELEX after a few strides and was never headed. CALYCANTHUS, a mild threat early, faded before reaching the mile. LELEX, never far back, felt the sting of rider Allen's stick on the turn and moved up slightly but never a real threat. ALFAMBRA finished strongly to get third money.
