Is my top pick in Kentucky Oaks 128 after an incredible final work here last week for trainer Bobby Frankel. Filly knows Churchill Downs well from her pre-sale days with Hal Wiggins and it still blows my mind that anyone could have haltered this mare for $50,000. She figures to be worth about $3,000,000 now between the racetrack and the breeding shed. Nice appreciation there and a good pickup by Frankel - who seems to own the Kentucky Oaks with winners like Keeper Hill and Flute. Tractable filly won't get caught up in any kind of pace duel and keeps Jerry Bailey in the saddle. Hoping she's second choice in the betting but either way she won't get past 5-2 or so. Thinking she's worth 9-5 or greater for win betting and certainly holds the key to all exotics. Expect a smashing effort. |

You is an example of the tried-and-true stamina-on-speed pedigree nick, evidenced by her Roberto sire line crossed with a Mr. Prospector female line. Perhaps she gets her brialliance from her distaff side, however, as her third dam, Lover's Walk, is also the family of Grade I winner Marquetry, the fleet-footed Group I winner Spain Lane as well as Reggie V., the dam of the equally fleet-footed Five Star Day. You was purchased privately by owner Edmund Gann and trainer Bobby Frankel on the advice of former trainer Mark Reid, who also selected the savvy buys Labamta Babe and Medaglia D'oro. You is not only bred to love a route of ground on the main track, but to handle turf as well, as the hints of Kris S. and Roberto in her pedigree suggest.
