FERDINAND bothered following the start, dropped well back while lacking room along the inside racing to the first turn, came out while beginning to advance after entering the backstretch, moved through inside the leaders after splitting horses through the upper stretch and drew away under left-handed pressure. BOLD ARRANGEMENT (GB), outrun early, rallied while racing well out in the track approaching the end of the backstretch, loomed boldly between horses leaving the far turn and continued on with good courage to gain the place. BROAD BRUSH, reserved into the backstretch, made a bold bid between horses nearing the stretch but wasn't good enough in a long drive. RAMPAGE, steadied along early, was moving well when locked behind a wall of horses nearing the stretch, was checked again when unable to find room inside SNOW CHIEF approaching the final furlong, then finished well after angling out for room. BADGER LAND lacked room after the start, moved boldly around horses approaching the stretch but weakened during the drive. WHEATLY HALL moved up approaching the far turn, remained a factor to the stretch and tired. FOBBY FORBES failed to be a serious factor while racing very wide during the late stages. ICY GROOM angled over shortly after the start tightening it up on FERDINAND, MOGAMBO and WISE TIMES, the failed to be a serious factor. WISE TIMES, forced to steady soon after the start, was always outrun. MOGAMBO lacked room after the start and was never close. SNOW CHIEF, allowed to follow the early leaders, gained a brief advantage approaching the five-sixteenth pole, moved to the inside leaving the far turn and gave way readily under pressure. ZABALETA prompted the pace into the backstretch, reached the front briefly when GROOVY gave way suddenly at the far turn, then was bothered along the inside while tiring after entering the stretch. SOUTHERN APPEAL tired. BACHELOR BEAU raced forwardly to the far turn and had nothing left. VERNON CASTLE was finished early while saving ground. GROOVY saved ground while showing speed to the far turn and stopped suddenly.
