STRIKE THE GOLD, unhurried while outrun into the backstretch, was caught in close quarters between horses nearing the end of the backstretch, angled out to make his run, circled the leaders leaving the far turn and proved clearly best while drifting out under left handed pressure. BEST PAL, reserved early while racing along the inside, was looking for room behind the stretch to loom boldly inside the final furlong and bested the others while coming out slightly near the finish. MANE MINISTER moved up outside horses approaching the end of the backstretch, continued his rally while racing five wide into the stretch but wasn't good enough in a long drive. GREEN ALLIGATOR, outrun until near the stretch, moved through inside horses after straightening away for the drive and continued on with good energy while swinging out from behind a wall of horses late. FLY SO FREE came out slightly after the start brushing ALYDAVID and bothering WILDER THAN EVER, remained along the inside while close up into the backstretch, leaned in forcing LOST MOUNTAIN into the rail at the far turn, came out between horses to make a bid nearing the stretch weakened. QUINTANA, outrun early, was checked sharply between horses nearing the far turn, swung out after recovering, raced wide into the stretch, then lacked the needed response. PAULRUS, without speed much of the way, passed tired horses while saving ground. SEA CADET, away alertly, saved ground while showing speed, made the pace into the stretch and gave way. CORPORATE REPORT, prominent early while racing outside the leaders, loomed boldly between horses approaching the stretch, then was tiring when brushed by HANSEL approaching the final furlong. HANSEL, well placed while five wide into the backstretch, remained within easy striking distance for a mile and ducked in while tiring brushing CORPORATE REPORT. HAPPY JAZZ BAND failed to be a serious factor. LOST MOUNTAIN, in close after the start, was moving well along the inside when forced into the rail at the far turn losing all chance. ANOTHER REVIEW tired while racing wide and tightened it up on QUINTANA nearing the far turn. ALYDAVID, brushed by FLY SO FREE following the break, raced forwardly to the far turn and tired. WILDER THAN EVER, steadied following the start, was never close. FORTY SOMETHING prompted the pace to the far turn and stopped badly.
