Owner Stats

EIGHT WINNERS: Calumet Farm - Whirlaway (1941), Pensive (1944), Citation (1948), Ponder (1949), Hill Gail (1952), Iron Liege (1957), Tim Tam (1958), Forward Pass (1968). The late Warren Wright owned Calumet the first four times the stable won; Mrs. Wright was owner in 1952, and she later won as Mrs. Gene Markey in 1957, 1958, and 1968, the year Forward Pass won by disqualification.

FOUR WINNERS: E. R. Bradley - Behave Yourself (1921), Bubbling Over (1926), Burgoo King (1932), Brokers Tip (1933).

FIRST BROTHERS TO OWN AND BREED SEPARATE DERBY WINNERS: Seth Hancock and brother Arthur became the first brothers to have owned or been part-owners of separate Derby winners. Arthur was part-owner of Gato Del Sol in 1982 and Sunday Silence in 1989, while Seth shared ownership of Swale in 1984. The Hancocks also were the first brothers to breed Derby winners.
