Go For Galmour, the Santa Anita Oaks (GI) show horse, jogged a half-mile and galloped 1 3/8 miles at Churchill on May 1, and trainer Beau Greely said she "went super." Go For Glamour schooled in the paddock Wednesday (June 30) afternoon and was scheduled to go back later today (May 1). "It's a good race," Greely said. "There's a long stretch, a lot of speed; they're not going to give anything away. "If she can sit out a little bit, she'll have a big shot coming down the stretch. I'd be delighted to win, but if we hit the board, it'd be fine."

GO FOR GLAMOUR is a small filly with quick running action but she has a
racehorse heart as evidenced by her 8-2-2-3 lifetime record. Taking a
big
step forward here to try much tougher than she has ever seen but young
trainer Beau Greely has pulled several major upsets in a brief career
and
has come to town confident that she fits with these. Posted a very sharp
workout in her final tuneup for the race with the clockers catching her
in
:46 3/5 for the four furlongs and that should have her ready to roll
right
from the gate at this longer distance. Presence of other speed hurts one
who
figures to be on or near the early lead but she will benefit from the
presence of underrated California jockey Alex Solis. Honest longshot may
be
in over her head but is a nice filly in her own right and has a bright
future. Willing to leave her off my Oaks 129 tickets.
