The chestnut filly Perfect Story, who fetched a healthy $975,000 as a weanling at Keeneland in Nov. 2002, is by the young sire Tale Of The Cat (by Storm Cat), a sire of two crops at this writing and six black types winners including My Trusty Cat, Tale Of A Dream, Risky Cat and Catalissa, among others. She is out of the Turkoman mare Turko's Turn, which makes her a half-sister to Point Given (by Thunder Gulch), champion three-year-old colt of 2001 and Horse of the Year. Additionally, she's a half-sister tot the minor stakes winners Deher's Turn and Point Gained and this filly's distaff family traces back to Illinois Derby (GII) winner Dignitas, and earner of over a half million dollars. As a broodmare sire Turkoman is the sire of 14 crops at this writing and 104 producing daughters including champin Point Given; millionaire Pleasant Breeze and Turkish Prize, Purely Cozzene, David Night Caller, Adam's Time, Erica's Smile and Ommadon. Being a grandson of Storm Cat out of a grandaught of Alydar and a half-sister to the top-class stayer Point Given, Perfect Story is bred to move forward as the distances increase. Her bloodlines say she'll handle 10 furlongs, and beyond.
