By: John Asher & Gary Yunt

Kentucky Oaks 129 Headlines:

  • Bailey Picks Up Mount On Lady Tak
  • Elloluv Gallops 10 Furlongs
  • In Case Of Wind To Breeze Friday

ELLOLUV - Paul Reddam's Elloluv galloped a mile and a quarter after the renovation break under exercise rider Enrique Alferez. Trainer Craig Dollase plans to work Elloluv on Saturday at an undetermined distance. Robby Albarado has the Oaks mount.

GO FOR GLAMOUR - Columbine Stable's Go For Glamour jogged a mile under exercise rider Andy Durnin after the renovation break. Go For Glamour, to be ridden by Alex Solis in the Oaks, worked a half-mile in :50 on Tuesday. "She came out of the work well and I am happy with her," trainer Beau Greely said.

IN CASE OF WIND - Karen and James Stone's In Case Of Wind had a slow gallop Thursday morning at Trackside Training Center under exercise rider Mark Fuchs. "She wanted to do more, but she is going to breeze five-eighths tomorrow," said trainer Bill Million, of the work slated for 7:30 with Oaks rider Calvin Borel up for the move. "This track can hold water, so if they seal it tonight, it should be OK in the morning."

ISLAND FASHION - Everest Stable's Island Fashion jogged a mile under exercise rider Andy Durnin after the renovation break Thursday morning. "She is doing fantastic," trainer Nick Canani said. "Everything is good. She will gallop in the morning if there is not too much rain."

LADY TAK - Heiligbrodt Racing Stable's Lady Tak, winner of the Fair Grounds Oaks (GII) and runner-up in the Ashland (GI), visited the starting gate and galloped a mile under exercise rider Lisa Orn. Trainer Steve Asmussen announced on Wednesday that Jerry Bailey would ride Lady Tak in the Kentucky Oaks. The mount was awarded to Bailey because of concerns that regular rider Donnie Meche would not be available because of a racing issue involving Meche that is being considered in Louisiana.

MY BOSTON GAL - Chester Porter, Phil Milner and Randall Bloch's winner of the Golden Rod (GII) and Stonerside Beaumont walked on Thursday. She is expected to gallop on Friday.

MY TRUSTY CAT - Carl Pollard's My Trusty Cat was on the track for a gallop under exercise rider Jeff Cuddie before 6 o'clock Thursday morning. The Tale of the Cat filly is slated to work Sunday.

SANTA CATARINA/ATLANTIC OCEAN - Trainer Bob Baffert said his pair of Kentucky Oaks contenders - Robert and Beverly Lewis' Santa Catarina and The Thoroughbred Corporation's Atlantic Ocean - galloped on Thursday. Gary Stevens will ride Santa Catarina in the Oaks, while David Flores is scheduled to ride Atlantic Ocean.
