Unidentified Player Earns $25,000 Consolation In "Kentucky Derby $5,000,000 Pay Day"

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 1, 2004) - The grand prize was not awarded in the Churchill Downs Simulcast Network's ("CDSN") "Kentucky Derby $5,000,000 Pay Day" contest, but a single unidentified contestant has earned a consolation prize of $25,000.

The contest required an entrant to correctly predict the exact order of finish in the 18-horse Kentucky Derby field to earn the $5,000,000 top prize. The unnamed contestant correctly selected the first five finishers in the race. The top five finishers in Derby 130 included the victorious Smarty Jones, Lion Heart, Imperialism, Limehouse and The Cliff's Edge. The consolation winner also correctly pegged Pro Prado to finish 13th.

The name of the consolation prize winner and more details will be issued in a press release scheduled for Monday, May 3.
