Bellamy Road Scheduled To Work Thursday
By: John Asher

Kinsman Farm's Bellamy Road is scheduled to work Thursday morning at Churchill Downs. Trainer Nick Zito indicated that the Wood Memorial (GI) would breeze around 6:30-6:45 a.m. (EST) in an effort to avoid the forecast arrival of rainy weather. It will be Bellamy Road's first work since his 17 ˝-length victory in the Wood.

Cash Is King Stable's Afleet Alex, winner of the Arkansas Derby (GII) is still scheduled for a Wednesday arrival at Churchill Downs - although the estimated time of arrival at the home of the Kentucky Derby is not set at 6-6:30 p.m. The colt, who is traveling by van from Oaklawn Park, will be stabled in barn 41.

B. Wayne Hughes' Greeley’s Galaxy, winner of the Illinois Derby (GII), is scheduled to breeze six furlongs on Friday morning. The work is scheduled just after the break for track maintenance.

Trainer Bobby Frankel said that Mary and Gary West's High Limit, winner of the Louisiana Derby (GII) and runner-up in the Toyota Blue Grass (GI), would work one time before the Kentucky Derby on May 7. Frankel said that Ghostzapper, the 2004 "Horse of the Year," would breeze on Friday.

Trainer Todd Pletcher's Kentucky Derby contingent arrives at Churchill Downs on Friday. Toyota Blue Grass winner Bandini and Lane's End winner Flower Alley head a group of 11 horses that Pletcher will ship from Keeneland to Churchill.
