Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. *OMAR KHAYYAM began slowly, gained steadily and, saving much ground when turning into the stretch, outstayed TICKET. The latter, well up from the start, raced into the lead in the stretch, but tired. MIDWAY began slowly, was far back for the first half, but closed an immense gap into a game third. RICKETY tired after taking the lead while rounding into the stretch. *WAR STAR raced fairly well STARGAZER set a fast early pace and tired badly in the last quarter. BERLIN quit in the stretch. *MANISTER TOI showed late speed. STAR MASTER made a good effort but weakened. Scratched - Penrod, diamond, Sol Gilsey. (*Foreign Bred)
