Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. REIGH COUNT was ridden vigorously in the early running and responded nobly, racing into a forward position in the first half-mile, then forced the pace and under strong riding in the stretch, took the lead and drew away to win with speed in reserve. MISSTEP began fast next to the inner rail, showed fine speed and, setting a fast pace for the going, finished well but was easily held safe. TORO suffered slightly from interference, but when clear in the stretch, was running fast at the end. Scratched - Colonel Shaw, Rumpelstiltskin, Dowagiac, Mop Up.
