SWALE, away in good order, went after ALTHEA from the outside approaching the end of the backstretch, took over soon after starting the turn, drew off quickly entering the stretch and was under pressure to hold sway. COAX ME CHAD, outrun to the far turn, moved through along the drive and finished well to best the others. AT THE THRESHOLD rallied racing into the far turn, remained a factor into the stretch while racing between horses but wasn't good enough, and leaned in slightly brushing with FIGHT OVER. GATE DANCER broke poorly from his outside post position, raced wide into the stretch while advancing but failed to sustain is bid while lugging in and bumping FALI TIME several times. GATE DANCER WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FIFTH FOLLOWING A STEWARD'S INQUIRY AND A FOUL CLAIMED BY THE RIDER OF FALI TIME. FALI TIME, never far back, remained a factor into the stretch while racing between horses and was bothered by GATE DANCER during the drive. PINE CIRCLE made up some ground approaching the final furlong but lacked a late response. FIGHT OVER, well placed into the backstretch, moved through along the inside nearing the far turn, raced forwardly into the stretch, then brushed with AT THE THRESHOLD while tiring. A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST COAX ME CHAD BY THE RIDER OF FIGHT OVER, FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE THROUGH THE STRETCH, WAS NOT ALLOWED. LIFE'S MAGIC moved up along the inside nearing the end of the backstretch but was finished soon after going seven furlongs. SILENT KING, badly outrun for a mile, passed tired horses while racing very wide. REXSON'S HOPE was without speed. SO VAGUE failed to be a serious factor. BILOXI INDIAN gave way after racing forwardly for a mile. TAYLOR'S SPECIAL, wide throughout, raced within striking distance to the far turn but lacked a further response. RAJA'S SHARK saved ground to no avail. BEDOUIN raced extremely wide. VANLANDINGHAM was finished racing into the far turn and came back sore. SECRET PRINCE tired. BEAR HUNT prompted the pace into the backstretch, held on well until near the end of the backstretch and had nothing left. ALTHEA had speed from the outset, made the pace to the far turn while saving ground but was finished after going seven furlongs. MAJESTIC SHORE dropped back steadily while racing wide approaching the end of the backstretch and was eased when unable to keep up.
