Saying No to $17 Million !!

Sunday, April 29, 2007

If what is reported in the New York Times is accurate, than I'm not sure which is more crazy...an offer of $17 Million for a maiden-breaking winner or turning down that sort of money.

Joe Drape writes that the owner of Nobiz Like Shobiz, Elizabeth Valando, refused the big-money offer last year from Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum for Nobiz Like Shobiz.

All I can say is wow !!!

You know, there are some people who simply are in the sport because they love the sport. Not because they're trying to pick up a few bucks. I think that to do this for a long time, you truly have to adore horse racing for the horse racing not for the money.

WOW, something are not for sale. Then again something should be for sale.
Crazy is not making a profit in this business. That is the fundamental reason for entering in the magical land of HORSE RACING. Take the money and move on to the next chapter. I rather have 10 handicap horse than one good horse. Namely a Barn in my name. Than one horse , one jockey, one trainer on one day.

PAY ME BABY, JUST PAY ME.
