As far as the weather goes, the rain has stopped for a few hours and with no more moisture, I am confident that the track would be fast for the Kentucky Derby. 

The most worrying part of the draw process is behind us now and Street Sense will get a much better post position draw than Curlin.

If what is reported in the New York Times is accurate, than I'm not sure which is more crazy...an offer of $17 Million for a maiden-breaking winner or turning down that sort of money.

After seeing Jessica, Jill, Dan, and Justin doing the latest video update, it made me a bit jealous that I am not at Churchill Downs as of yet.

how do the folks connected with the Kentucky Derby contenders feel ?  

As usual, the proceedings in the next two weeks will be blown way out of proportion with all of the reports about how the horses are training. 

In the run-up to the Kentucky Derby over the next 20 days, Apollo and Regret will be often referred to regarding the ultra-talented Curlin.

Let's face it, in this great sport of horse racing, one occasionally finds an animal that you become attached to. For me, Street Sense is one of those horses.
