Trainer: Craig Dollase

Craig is the son of veteran California trainer Wally Dollase. Like his father, he is based in southern California, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Originally an assistant to Wally, he went out on his own in 1997, winning with his very first starter at Hollywood Park. The following year, he was leading trainer at the same track's summer meet. His first and only crack at the Kentucky Derby came with Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Wilko, who finished 6th in the 2005 edition of the run for the roses. However, the biggest win of his young career came under the twin spires when Reraise captured the 1998 Breeders' Cup Sprint, making Dollase, 27 years old at the time, the youngest trainer to ever saddle a Breeders' Cup winner. Other top named horses who have been conditioned by the trainer include Elloluv, Swept Overboard, Futural and Momentum.
Jockey: David Flores

A native of Tijuana, Mexico, Flores' first win came at Caliente, Mexico in 1984. He captured his first riding title at a major track in '99 at Santa Anita; he also earned his 2,000th career win that year. Flores was known as "the king of the bull ring" for years for the success he had at Fairplex Park, where he won six consecutive riding titles (from 1989-'94), as well as winning titles at Santa Anita, Del Mar, and Oak Tree. He joined the Southern California jockey colony in '89 and has ridden such top horses as Chilukki, Mash One, Tuzla, Keeper Hill, Free House, Siphon, and Singletary. He has ridden in nine Kentucky Derbies, most recently finishing sixth on Action This Day in 2004, 11th aboard Storm Treasure in 2006, and 14th aboard Liquidity last year.
Owner: West Point Thoroughbreds

Terry Finley, who has been involved in the Thoroughbred industry for more than 22 years, is the founder and president of West Point Thoroughbreds, Inc. A graduate of West Point, Finley is a former Airborne Ranger who holds an MSBA from Boston University. He gained hands-on experience working with Thoroughbreds as a teenager and began developing racing partnerships in 1991. His initial acquisition was a $5,000 claimer from Philadelphia Park named Sunbelt. That gelding debuted for West Point Thoroughbreds two weeks later and won for a $6,500 claiming tag. Since that first trip to the winners circle at Philadelphia Park in 1991, West Point Thoroughbreds has syndicated some 200 horses worth more than $20 million. West Point has permanent stables in New York, New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida, Louisiana, and California, with approximately 80 horses in training. Some high profile horses managed by West Point include Ethan Man, Dream Rush, Seattle Fitz, Awesome Gem, High Finance, Lear's Princess, Irish Smoke and Flashy Bull. Flashy Bull has been their only Kentucky Derby starter do date, finishing 14th in 2006 after a rough trip. Flashy Bull went on to capture the 2007 Stephen Foster Handicap (GI) under the twin spires.
