Trainer: Saeed bin Suroor

Saeed bin SuroorDubai native Saeed bin Suroor is a former policeman who took out his training license in the United Arab Emirates in 1994 to start Desert Stables. He saddled his first runner in '94 and notched his first Thoroughbred victory in '95. In April of '95, bin Suroor took over as the new trainer at Sheikh Mohammed's Al Quoz Stable in Dubai as well as the Godolphin operation in England. Also in '95, he won a unique Epsom Derby-King George-Arc triple with champion Lammtarra. Some of the top horses bin Suroor has trained include Swain, Dubai Millenium, Electroutionist, Lammtarra, Daylami, Almutawakel, and Ramonti.

Frankie DettoriLanfranco Dettori, currently the first string rider for the Godolphin arm of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum's racing empire, has enjoyed great success in many racing jurisdictions across the globe and has ridden for Godolphin since 1994. Dettori has been champion jockey in Britain three times – in 1994 with 233 winners, 1995 with 216 winners and 2004 with 192 winners. Dettori joined trainer Luca Cumani in Newmarket in July 1985. He was christened “Frankie” by the stable lads when he arrived and the nickname stuck ... Known for his ebullient personality and unashamed show of emotions; his flying dismount after big race wins also make him a favorite of the fans. Dettori has had the most Breeders’ Cup success of any foreign-based jockey; his riding double in 2006 (Red Rocks in the Turf and Ouija Board in the Filly & Mare Turf) gave him the most earnings of any jockey on a single Breeders' Cup day. Other winners include Barathea ('94 Mile), Daylami ('99 Turf), Fantastic Light ('01 Turf) and Wilko ('04 Juvenile.) Some of his most recent achievements include piloting the Epsom Derby winner Authorized in 2007, and his association with Ramonti, who won both the Queen Anne Stakes and the Sussex Stakes.
