Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. STONE STREET, favored by the going and in prime condition, ran the best race of his career. He followed BANBRIDGE close up to the three-quarters post, where he went into the lead and easily held the others safe for the rest of the trip. SIR CLEGES disliked the going and sprawled repeatedly, but made a game effort. DUNVEGAN ran fairly well. SYNCHRONIZED closed a big gap in the last half-mile. BANBRIDGE showed the most early speed, but tired after three-quarters. MILFORD was never a factor. The others were always badly outplaced. Scratched - Balbus, Dr. Mathews, Gilvedear. Synchronized and Frank Bird added as starters.
