Dawn at the Downs is a popular Louisville tradition that gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy breakfast in Millionaires Row while watching the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks contenders conduct morning workouts. From Millionaires Row 4, a host will announce the horses on the track, discuss the contenders’ past performances and provide insight to the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks races. Morning workouts will show on the television monitors and the announcements will be heard throughout the track.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a Kentucky-style breakfast buffet in our Millionaires Row venues. Ticket prices include the breakfast buffet, served from 7:00-8:30 AM, as well as reserved seating for you and your guests. Millionaires Row 4 and Millionaires Row 6 are available by reservation only. To make reservations, please call (502) 636-4400.

Tickets Prices:

  • Adults: $28
  • Children (ages 4-12): $18
  • Infants (ages 3 and under): FREE

Due to availability your party may be seated with another party if you have not purchased a table of 8.

First Floor Clubhouse

Guests are welcome to observe the morning workouts from the trackside rail. Sections 116/117 of the first floor Clubhouse will be made available to all guests. Seating in Sections 116/117 is free of charge and available on a first come, first served basis. Continental breakfast is available for purchase at the Paddock Grill. Menu Listed Below.

  • Ham biscuits: $4.50
  • Biscuits and gravy: $3.00
  • Pastries: $1.25
  • Fresh fruit: $1.00
  • Soda: $2.75
  • Coffee: $1.00
  • Hot Choc: $1.00
  • Juice: $2.00
  • Plus a special, scramble eggs, biscuits and a meat: $5.00

Patrons seated in Sections 116/117 will not have access to other areas of the track.

Parking

Entry is available through Gates 10 and 17 only.

All parking lots are open and free of charge; however, it is best to park at the Gate 10 Longfield Parking Lot. Valet parking is not available during Dawn at the Downs.
