Crown Royal Festival in the Field
Churchill Downs is excited to announce the performances of BNA Records artist Kellie Pickler on Thursday, May 1st, 2008, and Wind Up Records group Finger Eleven on Friday, May 2nd, 2008.
Kellie Pickler's album Small Town Girl was released on October 31, 2006 as No. 1 on Billboard's country albums, and has been certified Gold. Her single "Red High Heels" was released on October 20, 2006 and reached No. 1 on the Great American Country Countdown on February 9th, and earned her a nomination for Country Music Televisions "Best Breakthrough Artist Video."
Finger Eleven burst on to the music scene with the release of their self-titled album Finger Eleven, featuring the single "One Thing" which pushed the band's album to certified Gold and climbed the U.S. charts. On March 6, 2007 the band released its latest album, Them vs. You vs. Me, which featured "Paralyzer" which became a Top-Ten Hit on the U.S. Hot 100 in November 2007, and reached No. 1 on both the Canada and U.S. rock charts.
The concerts are located in the Churchill Downs Infield as part of the Crown Royal Festival in the Field and are free with the purchase of track admission. Tickets will be $3 on Thursday, May 1st, 2008 and $25 on Kentucky Oaks Day, Friday, May 2nd, 2008. The concerts will follow the following schedule:
