Caroline Smith's Blog

Caroline Smith lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and is a Marketing Coordinator for the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission. She received her Master's in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University where she played Division I Field Hockey.

Caroline's love for sports and horses led her to pursue a graduate degree in Louisville. While at the University of Louisville, Caroline worked at Churchill Downs on the Web Team for KentuckyDerby.com and KentuckyOaks.com. This will be her 3rd Derby working with Churchill Downs, but she has been closely involved with horses since the age of 10 when she started riding as a hunter/jumper.
