Midshipman's pedigree does not lean decisively toward speed or stamina, but rather charts a balanced course between the two. The champion and Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) star is the leading son of multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire Unbridled's Song, who was himself a past hero of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, Florida Derby (G1) and Wood Memorial S. (G2). Dispatched as the 7-2 favorite in the 1996 Kentucky Derby (G1), Unbridled's Song was compromised by foot issues and wound up running in bar shoes, but still turned in a terrific performance to finish fifth.

The juvenile was a big win but i think the lenght of the race will hurt all contenders that enter the derby because it was too long

I think this is the most impressive out of the only 7 we have so far.He seems strong,and has only come in second in one race.I'd like to see how he does on the dirt before the Derby.

Thomas M, it's also confirmed by other Triple Crown sites..looks like it's up to Desert Party and Vineyard Haven now if Godolphin wants a shot at the Roses this year.
