Pedigree

Nowhere to Hide is by undefeated juvenile champion Vindication. A son of 1977 Triple Crown legend Seattle Slew, Vindication compiled a perfect four-for-four mark in 2002, crowned by a convincing victory in the Breeders; Cup Juvenile (G1). Unfortunately, he sustained a career-ending injury early in his three-year-old season and never got the chance to participate in the Kentucky Derby (G1). Vindication's leading progeny include More Happy, heroine of the Adirondack S. (G2); Long Branch S. winner Truth Rules; Maimonides, third in the Hopeful S.

Starter Analysis

Nowhere to Hide was a surprise late addition following the defection of several other contenders. The bay colt has finished fourth in all three stakes starts, and the maiden winner will face a tough class check in the Derby from post 18. He is trained by two-time Derby winner Nick Zito, but Nowhere to Hide will be one of the longest shots in the field.
