Bob Baffert

Baffert captured the world’s attention after sending Silver Charm and Real Quiet to back-to-back wins in the Kentucky Derby in 1997 and 1998 with both horse just missing out on capturing the elusive Triple Crown in their respective years. He followed up with another Kentucky Derby win in 2002 with War Emblem. He has won the Preakness stakes a record tying five times and hs won two thirds of the triple crown four times. Bob Baffert has saddled 19 horses in the Run for the Roses. He captured the Dubai World Cup in 1998 with Silver Charm and then again in 2001 with Captain Steve. He is in the Hall of Fame and has won the Eclipse Award for top trainer three times. He was awarded the Big Sport of Turfdom in 1998. Baffert has saddled two Kentucky Oaks winners, Silverbulletday and Plum Pretty. Champions he has conditioned include Lookin at Lucky, Indian Blessing, Midnight Lute, Chilukki, Vindication, and Midshipman.Other stable stars include Point Given, General Challenge and current runners The Factor , Secret Circle and Castaway.
