Alex G. Campbell Jr.

Alex Campbell has been involved in horse racing for over 50 years. He he has served on the board of the Breeder's Cup and has been a top breeder in Kentucky for many years. He retired from the Tobacco business in 1989 and was chairman of the Triangle Foundation which raised funds to develop the Thoroughbred Park in Lexington with life size statues of racehorses and jockeys. He was a partner in the ownership of Kentucky Oaks winner Goodbye Halo. Alex has bred and raised many stakes runners including Queen's Court Queen, Mr. Purple, Awesome Ashley, It's Tea Time, Rootentootenwooten and Dreamy Mimi.
