Barclay Tagg

A native of Abington, Pennsylvania Barclay Tagg  worked as an assitant under Hall of Fame trainer Frank Whiteley before saddling his first winner in 1972. He won five stakes with Miss Josh in 1991, the 1994 Mon O' War with Royal Mountain Inn, and the 1999 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series with Crab Grass.  In 2003 he won the Kentucky Derby on his first attempt with Funny Cide, who went on to win the Peakness Stakes.
