Claiborne Farm and Adele B. Dilschneider

Legendary Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky has been passed down through the Hancock family for 100 years. Claiborne Farm has been home to the best stallions in the world but the most famous would certainly be 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat.  It has received multiple Eclipse Award honors including the Eclipse Award of Merit in 2011. They won the 1984 Kentucky Derby with Swale who would also go on to win the Belmont Stakes. Additional champions and stable stars include Forty Niner, Lure, Pulpit and Preach to name only a few. Adele B. Dilschneider has been a longtime Claiborne Farm client, family friend and racing and breeding partner. Her grandfather, John Olin, owned and bred !974 Kentucky Derby winner Cannonade. She sits on the board of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. Notable horses she and Claiborne have bred and campagned in partnership include, Arch, Blame Cease and Rumor.

Los Alamitos Futurity Added to 2014-15 'Road to the Kentucky Derby' Series

The $500,000 Los Alamitos Futurity (Grade I) has been added to the list of races that comprise the 2014-15 “Road to the Kentucky Derby.” The series of 35 select races – 19 “Prep Season” races and 16 “Championship Series” races – will determine which horses qualify to the 141st running of the $2 million guaranteed Kentucky Derby.
