Spendthrift Farm

Spendthrift Farm was originally created by Leslie Combs II in Lexington Kentucky. Spendthrift was the name of one of the family's best horses who would go on to be the great grandsire of Man O' War. Spendthrift was purchsed in 2004 by B. Wayne Hughes who has had a great deal of success in the racing industry since being introduced to the sport by his father. Hughes owns the largest Public Storage company in the country and also began the Parker Hughes Cancer Research Center. Some of his top horses include Breeders' Cup winners Action This Day and Court Vision as well as Don't Get Mad and Joyeaux Danseur.
