Kaleem Shah, Inc.
Kaleem Shah resides in Virginia and founded CalNet, an information technology company. His family was involved in the top echelon of horse racing in India where his father, Majeed, won the Indian Triple Crown and his uncle Saeed won the Indian Derby twice. His father however insisted the children concentrate on education and did not encourage Kaleem to spend time at the race track. But horse racing was in his blood and Kaleem entered the business in 1996 primarily racing on the east coast. He met trainer Bob Baffert at the horse sales and the two have had a great deal of success with many of their purchases. Shah has about 30 horses in training and currently campaigns Kentucky Derby prospect Fed Biz as well. Other stable stars have included May Day Rose, Irrefutable, Concorde Point and Smash.
