Kiaran McLaughlin has been dreaming of winning the Kentucky Derby since he was ten years old. He is hoping to finally reach his dream in the 2015 renewal of the Kentucky Derby with Kentucky Derby contender Frosted. To get to the race, both Kiaran and Frosted have had to overcome obstacles. Kiaran has had to overcome a MS diagnosis, where he had to decide not to let it stop him from pursuing his dream of winning the Kentucky Derby. He also had to help Frosted overcome challenges as he raced to earn a spot in the Kentucky Derby starting gate for 2015.
