Eddie was born and raised in Ireland by a family who was involved with horses.His uncle was a jockey and finished second aboard Purple Silk in the 1964 Aintree Grand National.Eddie moved to the United States in 1987 to work with Thoroughbred sales yearlings at Pegasus Stud.He was an exercise rider for trainer Rusty Arnold and later worked for trainers Tom Skiffington and Niall O’Callaghan.The $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen is Eddie’s biggest career accomplishment, which he won in 2007 with Kelly’s Landing.Kelly’s Landing was retired in 2007. A special love for the gelding remained so Eddie transitioned Kelly’s Landing to a new career as his lead pony who he rides on a daily basis.He has a strong 2011 Kentucky Derby contender in Santiva who was victorious in Churchill Downs’ Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (GII) during the 2010 Fall Meet.Eddie is ranked one of the top 50 trainers in the United States.He enjoys playing soccer and racquetball in his spare time.Eddie Kenneally was born on June 19, 1966 and now resides in Lexington, Kentucky.

Los Alamitos Futurity Added to 2014-15 'Road to the Kentucky Derby' Series

The $500,000 Los Alamitos Futurity (Grade I) has been added to the list of races that comprise the 2014-15 “Road to the Kentucky Derby.” The series of 35 select races – 19 “Prep Season” races and 16 “Championship Series” races – will determine which horses qualify to the 141st running of the $2 million guaranteed Kentucky Derby.
