Over Santa Anita's Pro-Ride on Monday, champion LOOKIN AT LUCKY (Smart Strike) worked five furlongs in 1:01 1/5, turning in his last serious drill before Saturday's Rebel S. (G2) at Oaklawn Park.

The Bob Baffert colt, who has not raced since capturing the CashCall Futurity (G1) at Hollywood Park in December, will be trying dirt for the first time. Plans call for Lookin at Lucky to add blinkers for the Rebel, a change of equipment that Baffert decided upon after consulting with regular rider Garrett Gomez.

According to Daily Racing Form, Lookin at Lucky is scheduled to fly to Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Tuesday.

"He just cruised around there really easy," Baffert told the DRF regarding Monday's work. "He actually went three-quarters and (galloped) out seven-eighths. I had him in 1:15 and change."

Lookin at Lucky raced six times as a two-year-old, winning five and just missing after a wide trip off a slow pace in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). Prior to that, the bay had landed the Norfolk S. (G1), Del Mar Futurity (G1) and Best Pal S. (G2). With that sterling record, Lookin at Lucky was the overwhelming choice for the Eclipse Award as champion two-year-old male.
