Steve Margolis

Trainer

Margolis decided to pursue a career in horse racing just after high school graduation and began working for Hall of Fame trainer John Veitch. In 2000, he decided to go out on his own after working as the top assistant for trainer Stanley Hough. Less than a year into training Margolis sent out Request for Parole to a fifth place finish in the 2001 Kentucky Derby. His other top runners include Due Date, Cash Refund, and Cajun Beat.

Right Time Racing Stable

Owner

Right Time Racing Stables was formed in 2004 by a close group of friends and family. Led by managing partner Dann Glick, the stable has evolved from purchasing claiming horses to purchasing younger horses out of the sales ring. Right Time Racing is made up of 9 individuals all with ties to Louisville. The current stable has just two runners to its name and both of those fillies will contend for the 137th Kentucky Oaks.

Pedigree

Bouquet Booth is a daughter of Travers S. (G1) hero Flower Alley

Flower Alley just missed breaking into the top 10 on the 2010 Leading First-Crop Sires list, ranking 11th

Besides Bouquet Booth, he’s also the sire of Kentucky Oaks (G1) contender Lilacs and Lace

Flower Alley captured four graded events during his racing career, and finished second in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) as a sophomore

Bouquet Booth is out of Toll Order, who is herself a daughter of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Toll Fee (Seeking the Gold)

Toll Order counts as half-sisters the dams of multiple Grade 1 turf queen Riskaverse (Dynaformer), recent Apple Blossom (G1) heroine Havre de Grace (Saint Liam), and Grade 3 scorers Cozzy Corner (Cozzene) and Tasteyville (With Approval)

Bouquet Booth’s third dam is 1991 Broodmare of the Year Toll Booth (Buckpasser)

Toll Booth’s half-siblings included the likes of Grade 1 winner Sauce Boat (Key to the Mint)

Toll Booth would go on in the breeding shed to produce champion sprinter Plugged Nickle (Key to the Mint), Grade 1 victress Christiecat (Majestic Light) and Grade 3 star Key to the Bridge (Key to the Mint)

The broodmare sire of Bouquet Booth is Loup Sauvage, who was a dual highweight in France

Loup Sauvage captured the Prix d’Ispahan (Fr-G1) and also placed in the Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1), French Two Thousand Guineas (Fr-G1), Irish Derby (Ire-G1) and Irish Champion S. (Ire-G1) during his racing career
