Pletcher won the 2010 Kentucky Derby with Super Saver. In 2011 he led all trainers in monies won with such stable stars as Stay Thirsty and Awesome Maria. He trained Rags to Riches not only to win the Kentucky Oaks in 2007, but became the first filly to take the Belmont Stakes in 102 years. He won four straight Eclipse Awards as top trainer from 2004-2007 and again in 2010. He has trained multiple Eclipse champions including Uncle Mo, Ashado, English Channel, Speighstown, Fleet Indian, Wait a While, Lawyer Ron, and Left Bank.
Mike Repole is the founder of Vitaminwater and Smartwater which he sold to The Coca-Cola Company in 2007. Mike’s racehorses to date include Uncle Mo, the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner and Travers, Gotham, and Cigar Mile winner Stay Thirsty. In 2013 he starts Remsen winner Overanalyze in the Derby and Unlimited Budget in the Kentucky Oaks.
Highestmaintenance is by champion juvenile colt Macho Uno, who was never worse than fifth in his 14-race career.
Along the way, the gray added wins in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, Grade 3 Penn Derby and Grade 2 Massachusetts Handicap to his resume while racking up fourths in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and Grade 1 Whitney Handicap.
Once in the breeding shed, Macho Uno would sire such top class runners as Grade 1 hero Macho Again, who placed in the 2008 Preakness Stakes, and multiple Grade 2 victor Mucho Macho Man, second in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic and third in the 2011 Kentucky Derby.
Highestmaintenance’s dam is the Regal Classic mare Half Heaven, who triumphed in five stakes and placed in eight others during her career.
Half Heaven is a half-sister to Grade 2 victress Sweet Vendetta and stakes scorers Love Cove and Doll Baby.
Highestmaintenance’s third dam is Grade 3 heroine Wayward Pirate, who produced the dam of Grade 2-winning millionaire Continental Red.
