Pedigree
The likelihood of British-bred Roz coming over for the Kentucky Oaks is slight, as is the chance of her taking to a conventional dirt course with her pedigree.
The daughter of European champion Teofilo has, logically enough, a solid grass pedigree.
Teofilo’s top progeny have competed, and been quite successful, on the green overseas, with Group 1 winners Parish Hall and Loch Garman among his top runners.
Roz is out of the British-bred Anabaa mare Debonnaire, whose one foray off the grass came in a synthetic Polytrack sprint.
Roz’s female line is loaded with top-class grass runners, including Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe king Suave Dancer, who also captured the Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) and Group 1 Irish Champion before retiring to stud.
