Albertrani made his way to the backstretch at age 13 when he walked and groomed horses for his uncle. He began his career as an assistant for top trainers Jack Van Berg, LeRoy Jolley, Saeed bin Suroor, and Bill Mott. Albertrani went out on his own in 2003 and in 2006 moved into the national spotlight when he trained 3-year old champion Bernardini. Other notable stakes winners he has trained are Odysseus, Deputy Glitters, and Gozzip Girl.
