Fiftyshadesofgold is one of her sire’s, Grade 3-placed My Golden Song, best progeny to date.

The gray stallion competed just six times on track, going undefeated as a juvenile in 2005 and placing in the Holy Bull and Aventura as a three-year-old at Gulfstream Park.

My Golden Song entered stud in 2008 and became Texas’ leading freshman sire of 2011 with his first crop. In addition to Fiftyshadesofgold the stallion’s progeny includes Triumph and Song, a three-time stakes winner thus far this season.

Fiftyshadesofgold’s dam is the winning Hadif mare Hadif Cat, who has also produced stakes-scoring full siblings Sword Trick and Tastefullyxcessive.

Fiftyshadesofgold’s immediate female family is Texas-based but her third dam is Grade 2-placed Alysbelle, better known as a full sister to Horse of the Year and Kentucky Derby king Alysheba, who found success in the stallion shed as well.
