Fashion is a key element of Kentucky Oaks Day.  It’s a day to get dressed in your finest, frilliest most feminine attire and have a great time with the girls.  Don’t forget, your hat is the most traditional and important accessory on Oaks Day (although fascinators and colored headbands are also perfectly acceptable), and if you're coming to Oaks, PINK is the color of the day!

Oaks fashions will be front and center at the Chambord First Lady of Fashion competition.  The contest will be for all ages, include a runway, and a chance to win a VIP trip to the IMG’s 2010 fall Fashion Week in New York City.

The competition will take place at Gate 10 at the conclusion of Race 5 (approximately 12:45 p.m. EDT) with the top 10 finalists showcased in the Aristides Garden on Bravo TV.  So start working on your Kentucky Oaks ensemble right away – and don’t forget, you get points for wearing PINK at the second Oaks PINK OUT!
