Conquest Stables' Conquest Harlanate made short work of her rivals as the 3-5 favorite in Sunday's Grade 3, $179,264 Mazarine for juvenile fillies at Woodbine.

Already assured of a berth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf after her victory in the September 13 Natalma over the Woodbine turf, the Mark Casse pupil was winning for the first time on Polytrack, and in the process banked 10 points toward the 2015 Kentucky Oaks.

Conquest Harlanate was confidently handled by regular rider Patrick Husbands. Saving ground on the rail, she was reserved just off the pace through fractions of :24 4/5, :49 1/5 and 1:13 3/5. The only question was whether Conquest Harlanate would find running room turning into the stretch, and when a seam duly opened up, the race was over. Conquest Harlanate easily punched through to score by 2 1/4 lengths, finishing 1 1/16 miles in 1:45 1/5 and paying $3.30.

"She's doing really well and we're really happy with how she has progressed," assistant trainer Kathryn Sullivan said. "She's a lovely filly, she's smart and everything is going the way we want it to go right now."

Brooklynsway was best of the rest by 2 1/2 lengths, and early leader Del Cielo hung on for third. Next came Quidi Vidi, Roaming and Dixie Twist. The winner's stablemate, Conquest So True, was scratched.

Conquest Harlanate boosted her earnings to $269,603 from her 4-3-0-1 line. Her only loss came in her July 12 unveiling on this track, where she rallied for third. The Harlan's Holiday filly rolled to a 2 3/4-length maiden win on the local turf August 3, her stepping stone to the Natalma.

The bay was bred by Windhaven Farm Ltd. in Ontario and twice sold at auction. A $75,000 yearling at Keeneland January, she brought $120,000 at the same venue that September. Conquest Harlanate was produced by the Dixieland Band mare Allison's Pride, who is also responsible for multiple stakes-placed Penobscot Bay. Her most accomplished relative in her immediate female line is Grade 1-winning sire Clear Choice.
