Fletcher and Carolyn Gray's homebred I'm a Chatterbox sprang a front-running upset in Saturday's $125,000 Silverbulletday S. at Fair Grounds, earning 10 points toward the Kentucky Oaks.

The 8-1 shot, who was making her first start since being switched to the Larry Jones barn, drew off to a dominant eight-length score. Under new rider Florent Geroux, I'm a Chatterbox covered the mile and 70 yards in 1:43 1/5 and paid $19.20 to win.

"I told Florent 'ride her like you own her and need the money really bad,'" Jones quipped.

Forever Unbridled got up for second, good for four points toward the Oaks. Money'soncharlotte and hitherto unbeaten West Coast Belle were third and fourth, respectively, while even-money favorite Top Decile wound up sixth.
