Chef James Canora
James Canora is a member of United Airlines “Congress of Chefs” serving as Celebrity Chef for the Northeast region representing their Business First* culinary program. He is the author of Dining at Delmonico’s "The story of America’s oldest restaurant," A Best in The World 2009 winner at The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Paris. He is corporate consulting chef for The Original Delmonico’s Restaurant*1837 in New York where he oversees special events and their line of specialty food products. NYC Culinary Events, his food consulting & catering firm has provided services for The Masters Golf Tournament, The Ryder Cup, The Breeders Cup and The U.S. Tennis Open.
James graduated the Art Institute of Manhattan with a 4.0 GPA, and honed his skills at Tribeca Grill under Chef Don Pintabona. During his ten-year tenure, James became responsible for all special events and was project manager on “The Tribeca Grill Cookbook,” and “The Shared Table” cookbook.
He has promoted American food in Europe, South America and the Middle East where he was a guest chef at The Grand Gourmet Summit in Dubai and in Australia where he was a guest chef at The “Masters Of Australia.” Earlier this year, chef Jimmy was invited to cook at our US Embassies in Oslo, Norway and for the US Ambassador in Madrid. Honored as Master Chef in the International food & beverage forum Hall of fame at a 4 day summit and culinary gala.
Chef Jimmy has donated much of his free time to charitable organizations such as The James Beard Foundation, The Taste of the NFL, The National Foundation for the Advancements of The Arts, Share our Strength, and his favorite , Lifebeat,* The Music Industry Fights Aids. Chef Jimmy Canora has been featured in The Washington Post, Global Traveler Magazine, and on Bravo’s Top Chef* season #3 as a guest Judge along with Celebrity Chef Anthony Bourdain. Chef Canora has also completed recipe writing & testing for Miss Patti Labelle’s latest cookbook “Recipes for the good life.”
