Now here's a horse to watch. In a great start to 2017, American Pharoah's first foal arrived yesterday at 12:30 a.m. at Brookdale Farm in Versailles, Kentucky. We'll have to wait to see if the handsome Bay colt is as fast as his Triple Crown winning sire, but it looks like the got his dad's easygoing charm.
According to Fred Seitz, Jr. of Brookdale Farm in a recent Bloodhorse article, "Personality wise, I think he seems like he's going to take after his dad with that mellow-type personality. Most babies are kind of skittish and want to run around behind their mother but he's not that type. You walk in the stall and he comes right up to you and starts chewing on your hand. He seems to be real bold and have that fun personality."
