ISABEY first to show but LIEBER KARL, the favorite, went to the front quickly, held on gamely but the five pounds extra weight began to show in the stretch. PLAUDIT came on with a terrific rush in the stretch to win by a nose. ISABEY was 20 lengths back with HAN D'OR the trailer.
