Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. WINTERGREEN was bumped into soon after the start by DR. BARKLEY, but recovered quickly and, taking good lead, held sway throughout and won in a canter. MIAMI, free of interference, followed WINTERGREEN in closest pursuit and finished fast, but was not good enough. DR. BARKLEY ran a cracking good race and outgamed SIR CATESBY in the last few strides. SIR CATESBY closed a gap and finished resolutely. FRIEND HARRY tired badly after three-quarters. DIRECT dropped out after three-quarters. MICHAEL ANGELO began slowly; closed a good gap in the last quarter. The others were never close contenders. Scratched - T.M. Green, Ada Meade, Woolwinder.
