Bourbon Heist Racing News

Bourbon Heist was a maiden when he contested the Iroquois at Churchill Downs, but had finished second behind race-rival Major General at Saratoga. That race proved a good guide, as Major General won the Iroquois while Bourbon Heist came from last to finish fourth, 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner, and earn one point on the 2022 Road to the Kentucky Derby. By Practical Joke, Bourbon Heist is from the family of 2012 Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Believe You Can. Trained by Ian Wilkes, Bourbon Heist is raced by Bourbon Lane Stable, which usually uses the “Bourbon” moniker in its horses’ names.
