Cooke Creek Summary
Cheyenne Stable, who missed out on a potential Kentucky Derby prospect in 2017 with the injury to unbeaten colt Mastery, may have another shot in 2022 with the Jeremiah O’Dwyer-trained Cooke Creek. Bred by Candy Meadows, Cooke Creek is by Uncle Mo, sire of 2016 Derby winner Nyquist, out of the Grade 3-winning Bernardini mare Genre, herself the daughter of a Grade 2 winner in French Park. The family hasn’t produced many winners past 1 1/4 miles, but the Uncle Mo factor could help him stay the Derby trip.
