His dam, Amour d’Ete, is by the stamina influence Tiznow out of champion Canadian filly Silken Cat. Thus she’s a half-sister to Speightstown, a champion sprinter whose progeny can get 1 1/4 miles, and Blue Grass S. (G2) winner Irap. There’s enough to suggest he can stay the Derby trip.
