Storm the Court Contender Profile
Storm the Court may have been 45-1 in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) at Santa Anita, but that didn’t stop him from sprinting to the front and gamely holding off all challengers down the lane to spring a monumental upset. Some will question whether Storm the Court’s performance was a fluke, but it’s possible he relished the switch to front-running tactics after racing off the pace when third in the American Pharoah Stakes (G1).
Conditioned by Peter Eurton, Storm the Court is a son of 2011 Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) winner Court Vision, and his overall pedigree is arguably geared toward grass more than dirt. Regardless, his victory in the championship-defining Breeders’ Cup Juvenile has launched Storm the Court onto the Road to the Kentucky Derby.
