Win With Pride Racing News
Bred by Three Chimneys Farm, Win With Pride, by Distorted Humor, is the first foal out of multiple graded stakes winner Love and Pride. Win With Pride was a $450,000 purchase at the 2015 Keeneland September yearling sale.
Following a third place finish as favorite in his debut on a muddy Belmont track, Win With Pride won a mile and 70 yard race convincingly over nine rivals at Parx Racing Oct. 31. Trainer Todd Pletcher then started Win With Pride in the Remsen Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct, and he finished fourth as a huge long shot behind Mo Town while racing three wide on both turns, showing some good late energy in that race.
He then contested the Jerome Stakes (G3) on Jan. 2, finishing fourth, more than 12 lengths behind El Areeb. He was bumped at the start and angled five wide for the drive but weakened late in the mile and 70 yard test.Win With Pride’s most recent race was a second place finish in allowance company at Parx Racing, but he was a well-beaten runner-up, failing to sustain his bid and giving way in the final furlong going 1 mile as the 3-5 favorite. Win With Pride has not had a training work for three weeks since that Feb. 28 allowance race, and he’s highly unlikely to make it to the starting gate for the Kentucky Derby.
