Florent Geroux

Born in Normandy, France, Geroux is a relative newcomer to the American scene. Geroux was the leading apprentice in France in 2005 and aimed to take his talents abroad. He migrated to the United States in 2008 after serving at the Coolmore Stud in Ireland during 2007. Florent enjoyed a solid season at Arlington in 2010 winning 32 races and finishing 10th in the standings. His biggest win oft he season came when he guided Dade Babe to victory in the Grade III Pucker Up Stakes in September. The young rider would alsowin the 2011 Illinois Derby aboard Joe Vann and won the 2011 fall meet title at Hawthorne. The 29-year old has already earned three Breeders’ Cup wins. He was aboard Catch A Glmpse at the Juvenile Fillies Turf in 2015, and also picked up a pair of victories in 2014 at the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint with Mongolian Saturday and the Breeders’ Cup Sprint with Work All Week. Other notable mounts have included Red Rifle, I’m a Chatterbox and The Pizza Man.
